Terms of Service.

Last updated: April 30, 2026

The short version.

The Career Diagnostic is an informational tool, not personalized career advice. The free score and the paid Pivot Interview are educational products grounded in published data. They are inputs into a career decision, not a replacement for the decision. By using this site, you agree to the rest of these terms.

Who runs this.

The Career Diagnostic is a product of Taylor Gardner, DO, a board-certified physician operating as a sole proprietor doing business as "The Career Diagnostic." For all references to "we," "us," or "our," that is who you're dealing with — one person, with their name on the work.

What you get.

The free Career Diagnostic

A score from 0–100 for your role, plus projections, tasks-at-risk, AI-resistant skills to build, and (if you submit your email) a 12-week upskilling email plan. Free. No payment required. Available indefinitely.

The Pivot Interview ($29)

A structured 12-question interview with the Pivot Engine — our proprietary Career Pivot Agent. After completing the interview, you receive a personalized Pivot Report as a PDF, emailed to you. The report includes a refined Career Diagnostic score, three ranked career pivots tailored to your stated constraints, a 90-day starter plan, and the single highest-leverage action you can take this week.

Your responsibilities.

What we promise.

Refund policy.

The Pivot Interview comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the report doesn't sharpen your thinking — for any reason — reply to your delivery email within 30 days with the word refund, and we'll refund the $29 to your original payment method within one business day. No questions asked. No forms. No fight.

The honest disclaimers.

Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Career Diagnostic and Taylor Gardner, DO are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the product. Our total liability for any claim related to the product is limited to the amount you paid for the product (which, for the free Career Diagnostic, is zero, and for the Pivot Interview, is $29).

Intellectual property.

The methodology, the Pivot Engine system prompt, the report structure, the radar visualization, and the codebase are owned by Taylor Gardner, DO. The underlying public datasets are licensed CC-BY (Anthropic Economic Index), public domain (BLS O*NET), and used per arXiv preprint norms (Eloundou et al., 2023). Your interview transcript and final report are yours; we have a limited license to deliver them and to keep them as long as needed for support follow-ups (see the privacy policy).

Changes to these terms.

If we change anything material, we'll bump the "Last updated" date at the top and post a one-paragraph summary on the site. We don't degrade your terms quietly.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if that fails, in the state or federal courts located in Cache County, Utah.
