TERMS.
The Career Diagnostic is an informational tool, not personalized career advice. The free score and the paid Pivot Interview are educational products grounded in published data. They are inputs into a career decision, not a replacement for the decision. By using this site, you agree to the rest of these terms.
Who runs this.
The Career Diagnostic is operated by a single proprietor doing business as "The Career Diagnostic." For all references to "we," "us," or "our," that is who you're dealing with. Operator identity is on file with our payment processor; for legal inquiries, email admin@tradesmanpass.com.
What you get.
The free Career Diagnostic
A score from 0–100 for your job, plus projections at 1, 3, and 5 years, tasks at risk, skills to build that AI can't replace, and (if you submit your email) a 12-week career plan delivered by email. Free, currently available, and provided as-is. We may discontinue features with reasonable notice.
The Pivot Interview ($29)
A structured time-boxed conversation with the Pivot Engine — a career-pivot tool we built. After you finish the interview, you'll receive a personal Pivot Report as a PDF, emailed to you. The report includes a sharper Career Diagnostic score, three ranked career-change ideas built around your situation, a 90-day starter plan, and the single most useful move you can make this week.
Your responsibilities.
- Be 18 or older. This service is for adults making career decisions.
- Don't share PHI or confidential information. The Pivot Engine is explicitly instructed to refuse patient health information and confidential employer data.
- Don't try to break it. No automated scraping, no abuse of the chat interface, no attempt to reverse-engineer the system prompt or extract training data from the foundation model.
- Use your real email. If you give us a fake email, we can't deliver your report.
What we aim for.
- Methodology transparency. The complete formula, weights, and citations live on the methodology page. Argue with it; if you're right, we update.
- Score refresh on major data drops. We aim to revisit scores when Anthropic publishes a new Economic Index or other major sources update — typically quarterly. Refresh timing depends on when external research lands.
- Personal accountability. Replies to your delivery email come from the operator directly. We do not have a support ticket system; you talk to a human.
- Privacy. See our privacy policy.
Refund policy.
The Pivot Interview comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the report doesn't sharpen your thinking — for any reason — reply to your delivery email within 30 days with the word refund, and we'll refund the $29 to your original payment method as soon as we can, typically within a few business days. No questions asked.
The honest disclaimers.
- This is informational, not personalized career advice. The score is one input into a career decision, not the decision. Talk to a mentor, a colleague, or a career coach who knows you before any major move.
- Not medical, financial, or legal advice. No use of this product creates a doctor-patient relationship, a financial-advisor relationship, or an attorney-client relationship.
- The score is built on real public research. Anthropic's Economic Index, the 2023 Stanford / OpenAI study (Eloundou et al.), and the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET. None of these can predict the future with certainty.
- The Pivot Engine is an AI tool. It runs on a top AI model from a major lab. It will sometimes get things wrong. Treat its output as a strong starting point you double-check — not the final word.
Limitation of liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Career Diagnostic and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the product. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product.
Intellectual property.
The methodology, the Pivot Engine's instructions, the report format, and the source code are owned by The Career Diagnostic and its operator. The public research we build on is openly licensed. Your interview conversation and the final report are yours — we just have a limited license to deliver them.
Changes to these terms.
If we change anything important, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and post a one-paragraph summary on the site.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if that fails, in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
