PRIVACY.
If you only read one paragraph: we collect the minimum we need to deliver what you paid for. Your interview transcript is processed by an AI provider that doesn't train on commercial-API inputs or outputs. We retain your transcript while we can answer support questions, and you can request deletion at any time. We don't sell, rent, or share your data. We use Stripe for payment so we never see your card details.
What we collect.
The free Career Diagnostic
- Your role / occupation — typed into the homepage calculator. Used to compute your score and (if you submit) deliver your 12-week career-plan emails.
- Your email address — only if you choose to submit it. Used to send the 12-week career-plan emails and occasional updates when something material changes for your role.
The Pivot Interview ($29 paid product)
- Your Stripe checkout session — payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your email address and the fact that payment succeeded. We never see your card number.
- Your interview transcript — every message you and the Pivot Engine exchange during your session. Stored on Netlify Blobs while the interview is in progress and afterwards so we can answer support questions and re-deliver your report. You can request deletion at any time (see "Your rights" below).
- Your final report — the structured pivot report and the PDF generated from it. Kept so we can re-deliver if you ask, until you request deletion.
Where your data goes.
AI provider (Anthropic)
The Pivot Engine runs on a top AI model from Anthropic, accessed via their commercial API. Every message you send is transmitted to that API to generate the response. Per their commercial terms, they don't use commercial-API inputs or outputs to train their models. Their data-retention policy is 30 days for prompts and outputs.
Netlify (hosting + Blobs)
The site is hosted on Netlify. Your transcript and report are stored in Netlify Blobs. Netlify is SOC 2 Type II compliant.
Google (Gmail SMTP)
We send the welcome email, the 12-week action emails, the report PDF, and occasional score-update emails from a Google Workspace email account using SMTP.
Stripe (payment)
Payment for the Pivot Interview is processed by Stripe. Card details never touch our servers.
Google Analytics + Google Ads
We use Google Analytics 4 and a Google Ads conversion tag to understand which pages and ads bring people in. IP addresses are anonymized at ingestion.
What we do NOT do.
- We do not sell your email address or interview transcript to anyone.
- We do not share your data with marketing partners or data brokers.
- We do not ask for or store any protected health information (PHI). The interviewer is explicitly instructed to refuse PHI.
- We do not ask for or store financial credentials, account numbers, SSN, or your exact home address.
- We do not use your interview content to train any model. Not Anthropic's, not ours, not anyone's.
Your rights.
You can request a copy of every record we hold about you, request deletion of all records, or unsubscribe from all email at any time. Reply to any email from us with the word delete, and we'll process the request as soon as we can — typically within a few business days. The deletion is irreversible once it completes.
Children.
This service is intended for adults making career decisions. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy.
If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and email everyone on file a one-paragraph summary.
